On Time Fulfillment
Amazon fulfillment services are the logistics operations required to get an Amazon order from inventory to the customer's door: receiving stock, warehousing, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and processing returns. Sellers can handle these tasks themselves, use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), or outsource them to a third-party logistics (3PL) provider like Rush Order.
FBM vs. FBA vs. SFP vs. 3PL
Amazon sellers have four main ways to fulfill orders. Most growing brands use a combination: for example, FBA for fast-moving SKUs and a 3PL for everything else.
Why Rush Order For Amazon Fulfillment Services
Faster, cheaper delivery
A nationwide and global warehouse network positions inventory near your customers, cutting shipping cost and transit time to meet Amazon’s speed expectations.
Real-time inventory control
Easy Seller Central integration plus demand forecasting prevents stockouts and overstock, you always know exactly what you have and where.
Transparent, no hidden fees
Clear pricing with volume discounts as you grow, plus an under-four-hour account-management response time.
| Option | Who Ships The Order | Prime Badge | Branding Control | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FBM — Fulfilled by Merchant | You or your 3PL | No (unless SFP) | Full | Control, custom packaging, multi-channel inventory |
| FBA — Fulfilled by Amazon | Amazon | Yes | None (Amazon boxes) | Fast-moving SKUs where Prime speed matters most |
| SFP — Seller Fulfilled Prime | You or your 3PL | Yes | Full | Sellers who want the Prime badge while keeping control |
| 3PL — Third-party logistics | Your 3PL provider | Via FBM or SFP | Full | Scaling brands outsourcing ops without losing flexibility |
Fulfilled by Merchant
FBM is when the seller, or a 3PL acting on their behalf, fulfills Amazon orders directly instead of shipping inventory into Amazon. You keep full control over packaging, inserts, and inventory, and serve Amazon and your other channels from one stock pool. Rush Order handles FBM fulfillment end to end.
Seller Fulfilled Prime
SFP lets you show the Prime badge while fulfilling Prime orders from your own, or your 3PL’s, warehouse, per Amazon’s SFP requirements. You keep control and branding and the conversion boost of Prime, provided you consistently hit Amazon’s delivery-speed standards. Rush Order fulfills SFP orders to meet them.
Rush Order vs. Amazon FBA
| Rush Order | Amazon FBA | |
|---|---|---|
| Flexibility & customization | Branded packaging, tailored shipping methods | Standardized; little customization |
| Inventory control & transparency | Real-time tracking, clear control | Less control; higher long-term storage fees |
| Scalability | Scales with no volume/channel limits | Scales, but imposes stock limits in peak season |
| Customer support | Dedicated account managers | Standardized, less personalized |
| Returns & reverse logistics | Customizable, business-friendly | Strict, automatic Amazon rules |

Amazon Fulfillment Services
Fulfillment by Amazon
You ship inventory into Amazon’s warehouses and Amazon handles pick, pack, ship, service, and returns. FBA earns the Prime badge but you give up packaging control and pay storage fees that rise sharply in Q4. Many sellers use Rush Order for FBA prep so shipments meet Amazon’s inbound rules and aren’t rejected.
Third-party logistics
A 3PL like Rush Order stores your inventory, integrates with Seller Central, and picks, packs, and ships orders, via FBM or SFP, from strategically located warehouses. High volume means discounted carrier rates passed on to you, plus branded packaging, real-time tracking, and a dedicated account manager.
30+ years of Amazon & 3PL know-how
We know Amazon’s rules and inbound requirements, keeping your account clear of costly compliance penalties and rejected shipments.
Branded, custom packaging
Custom boxes and inserts mean your customers see your brand at unboxing, not ours, something FBA can’t offer.
Flexible scalability
No volume or channel restrictions. Built to absorb seasonal surges so peak season never caps your growth.
